I’ve seen these on a few blogs and wanted to try my own version. You can sweeten with raisins, figs, or dates but I love dried local Massachusetts cranberries in my oatmeal cookies, so I threw those in with a bit of sweetener.
The result is so reminiscent of an oatmeal cookie, you’ll think you are having one but this way is a whole lot more nutritious!
- 1/4 cup instant oats, uncooked
- 1 cup non fat milk
- 1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese (I used small curd)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp dried cranberries
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup
- 3 packets of sweetener of choice (I used 3 Splendas)
- 5-6 ice cubes
Put it all in a blender and blend, blend, blend until smooth. So yum!
